“eternal noneshine” was written at 5 in the morning after watching charlie kaufman/michel gondry’s wonderful movie eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (as is probably obvious i guess lmao). it’s a very spur of the moment song, a visceral reaction to my own personal emotions of these past months and how they relate to the themes of the movie. idk lol. pain. “headless horseman” relates to this emotional headspace as well and has always been one of my favorite phil elverum songs. i included it here as a complementary b-side to the lead track.

“eternal noneshine” will be included on an upcoming ep, season of pain, that im currently working on and hoping to release sometime in the next few months. some snippet of the “headless horseman” cover will also likely appear on the ep, but not the whole raw cover that is included here.

i hope you enjoy these songs, and i hope they might mean something to you. from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening. music and art are a miracle, and i am so so blessed to be able to participate in their magic in these awful times.
